DEFINITION
It is an acrylic-based, ready-to-use, UV resistant, very elastic waterproofing material.
usage areas
It is used for waterproofing purposes on cement-based surfaces and exposed concrete, sloping roofs and terraces, and edges of streams, chimneys and parapets.
ADVANTAGES
It is ready for use. It is easy to apply. It has high strength and is very elastic. It is UV resistant.
SURFACE PREPARATION
The application surface must be clean and dry, free of loose surfaces and dust that may prevent adhesion. Damaged surfaces, cracks and fractures should be repaired 24 hours beforehand with NESCOAT thin repair mortar and NESCOAT thick repair mortar. Roof slopes should be at a level to prevent surface ponding. Before application, NESCOAT ELASTOMERIC WATERPROOFING MATERIAL, diluted 1/4 with water, should be applied to the surface as a primer.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
After the primer coat dries, NESCOAT ELASTOMERIC WATERPROOFING MATERIAL is applied to the surface in 3 layers horizontally and 2 layers vertically, using a brush or roller, at ambient temperatures between +5°C and +35°C, without diluting with water. You should wait 5-6 hours between coats, depending on the temperature, and wait for the lower coat to dry before moving on to the next coat. The brush direction on each layer should be perpendicular to each other. It is recommended to use it with chamfer tape or NESCOAT insulation mesh in corners and other joints in the application area. The applied surfaces should be protected from direct sunlight, wind and frost for 3-7 days, and at the end of this period, they should be covered with ceramic.
