Nescoat Quartz Aggregate Surface Hardener
Surface Hardeners
Nescoat Quartz Aggregate Surface Hardener

DEFINITION
It is a surface hardener that creates surfaces with high strength and wear resistance for industrial floors with its cement, corundum, specially selected aggregates, chemical additives and pigment content.

usage areas
It is used in interior and exterior areas of industrial and commercial areas such as warehouses, shopping malls, factories, workshops, parking lots, service stations, where high mechanical wear resistance and dust-free properties are required.

ADVANTAGES
It provides smooth and dust-free surfaces. It has high resistance to abrasion and impacts. It has high resistance to grease and petroleum oils due to its high impermeability. It is easy to clean. Color options are available. It is easy and economical to apply. It is long lasting.

SURFACE PREPARATION
The quality of the concrete on which NESCOAT QUARTZ AGGREGATE SURFACE HARDENER will be applied is important. Compressive strength must be at least 25 N/mm2. For a good result, the concrete must contain sufficient cement (300-350 kg/m3) and the thickness of the floor concrete must be at least 15 cm. It is recommended to have. The fresh concrete surface to be applied should be smoothed with a wooden trowel instead of a steel trowel or tray finish. If a 5-10 mm deep mark remains on the concrete surface when pressed with your thumb, the surface hardener is ready to be applied. Concretes using air entraining additives are not suitable surfaces for surface hardeners.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
2/3 of NESCOAT QUARTZ AGGREGATE SURFACE HARDENER is sprinkled on the surface by hand or with suitable tools and distributed homogeneously. Clumps should not be formed on the surface. To prevent the aggregates inside the product from decomposing, it should not be sprinkled over long distances. Wait until the sprinkled material is evenly moistened at every point with the water of the concrete. The material, which changes color by absorbing water, is thoroughly fed to the surface with a low-speed trowel (helicopter) and thus integrated with the concrete. The remaining 1/3 of the material is sprinkled homogeneously on the surface and when it turns dark, it is mixed into the ground and polished. Finally, knife polishing (fine polishing) is started for the correction process. Pre-correction is carried out at low speed and lowest angle, and final correction is continued at high speed until the desired brightness is achieved. After the application is completed, NESCOAT ACRYLIC RESIN BASED CONCRETE CURE is applied to prevent premature drying and cracking. Depending on the ambient temperature, false joints are cut to 4 mm wide within 1-7 days after the application is completed, and after cleaning, they are filled with suitable joint filler.
